Chandoo Mondeti falls back on the time-tested idea of parodying some or the other episode from an Indian epic. In ‘Savyasachi’, it’s the Subhadra Parinayam episode.
First things first. Naga Chaitanya is lucky to have the backing of some of the well-known comedy faces out there here. When Vennela Kishore and Hyper Aadhi are around, you can’t ask for more. Throw in Vidyullekha Raman, Viva Harsha and Sudarshan, you have a potential winner.
The film’s first half is promised to be hilarious and the serious episodes are reserved for the second half.
Starring also Madhavan (as the antagonist), Nidhhi Agerwal (as the heroine) and Bhumika Chawla in a supporting role, ‘Savyasachi’ has music by MM Keeravani.
It hits the screens on November 2.
