Mallu beauty and actress Samantha's lookalike Samyuktha Menon who made her Tamil debut in the action thriller Kalari as Thenmozhi has bagged a huge role in Dhanush's bilingual film 'Vaathi' directed by Venky Atluri.

GV Prakash is roped to compose the music for the film, with Dinesh Krishna cranking the camera, while Naveen Nooli of Jersey fame takes care of the cuts. Vaathi' is said to be an action entertainer based on the current educational system. The announcement has thrilled the cinephiles, as well, as ‘Vaathi’ will also mark Dhanush’s first direct Telugu film.

On the other hand, Dhanush is on a promotional spree, as his Hindi movie ‘Atrangi Re’ with Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan is releasing on an OTT platform today. Meanwhile, Samyuktha Menon has some exciting films like ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘Gaalipata 2’, and ‘Kaduva’ in her kitty.'
