‘RRR’ actor joins Ravi Teja’s cop thriller

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s new movie with director Gopichand Malineni has onboard someone who is rising as an actor in Tollywood.  He is Samuthirakani, the Kollywood director.  The character artiste will be playing an important role in the untitled action-thriller.  

“Samuthikarani is slowly becoming a sought-after actor in Telugu cinema.  He is playing a negative role in Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’,” a source comments.  

Starring Shruti Haasan as the heroine, its music is by Thaman.  Producer Tagore Madhu recently said that the director is penning the film.  A power-packed thriller, it will see the Mass Maharaja in the role of a cop.  

Meanwhile, Ravi Teja awaits the release of ‘Disco Raja’, which is directed by Vi Anand.
