Rajinikanth Confirms ‘Coolie’ Release Date, Shares Updates on ‘Jailer 2’ and Extends Wishes to Ajith’s Team

Superstar Rajinikanth was spotted at Chennai Airport today on his way to Coimbatore. While there, he briefly interacted with the press. He confirmed that his upcoming film ‘Coolie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to release in theaters on August 14. The film features music composed by Anirudh and includes prominent actors such as Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Sowbin Shahir.

Rajinikanth is also working on ‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson. He shared that the shoot for the sequel is progressing smoothly.

During the brief media interaction, Rajinikanth expressed condolences on the passing of Kumari Anandan, calling him an honest politician and a good human being.

Meanwhile, Ajith’s new film ‘Good Bad Ugly’, directed by Adhik Ravichandran and also starring Trisha, Arjun Das, and Prasanna, was released in theaters today. When asked about it, Rajinikanth warmly extended his wishes to the entire film team, saying “God bless you.”
