‘Queen’ Trailer: Ramya Krishna as Jayalalithaa aka Shakti

The trailer of ‘Queen’, the web series directed by Gautham Menon and Prasath Murugesan, is out.  Starring Ramya Krishna in a role inspired by the former TN CM Jayalalithaa, this MX Player series is going to be a 10-episode series.  Shakti is the name of Ramya’s character in this one.  Also, MGR becomes GMR to avoid controversies.

The trailer boasts of reasonably fine production values.  There definitely is a cinematic feel.  However, Ramya Krishna doesn’t seem to have given a fleshed out performance.  It’s too early days to judge her act, though.

Also starring small-time Kollywood actresses Anjana, Anika and others, this one has Inderjit from Mollywood in a huge role.  Made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, this is not a biopic.
