The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has written a letter to the President of India seeking enhanced security cover for Manohar Parrikar, the Goa CM. Wondering why the Congress is concerned about the security of a BJP chief minister? It has something to do with its Rafale allegations.
Here is what the Rahul Gandhi sena feels. “There may be attempts on his (CM’s) life to obtain files from those who want that details of Rafale deal should not come in public domain as corruption in the deal will be proved,” the letter says.
Recently, Congress alleged that Parrikar once claimed before a Cabinet Minister in Goa that he has all the files relating to the Rafale deal in his bedroom. The party claimed to have an audio tape regarding this. But Rahul didn’t authenticate it in the Parliament recently. So, he was not allowed to play it.
