The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has on Thursday written a letter to the Election Commission over the content of a video clip in which Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is seen “encouraging kids to abuse Narendra Modi”.
In the video clip, which has been widely shared on social media, Rahul Gandhi’s sister is seen prodding the kids to raise slogans that call the Prime Minister a thief.
As per the NCPCR, it’s inappropriate to involve children for election campaign purposes. They shouldn’t be involved in raising slogans, distributing pamphlets, etc.
As per some Congress supporters and social media influencers, though, Priyanka asked the kids to stop raising anti-Modi slogans but this portion has been edited out. The ball is now in the EC’s court.
