On its first day, the blockbuster raked in over 191.5 crores worldwide, securing its place as the third highest-grossing film in Indian cinema history. Today, the producers confirmed that "Kalki 2898 AD" has amassed over 298.5 crores globally within two days of release, with a staggering 107 crores collected on Day 2 alone.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD, the film follows a few characters on a mission to save the unborn child, Kalki, of a lab subject. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this movie features a talented technical crew comprising Santhosh Narayanan as the music director, Djordje Stojiljkovic as the cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao as the editor.
