Pooja Hegde is a popular actress who gained fame in the Telugu cinema industry. Although her debut film, Oka Laila Kosam, didn’t perform well, she won hearts with her later Telugu films. Recently, however, she hasn’t been very active in Tollywood. After stepping away from Guntur Kaaram, she hasn’t signed any new Telugu projects. Currently, she is promoting her upcoming film Retro and shared insights about her career during a recent interaction.
Pooja has been part of many blockbuster movies and has worked with almost all top Telugu stars. She earned a strong fan base and admiration for her roles. Speaking about biopics, she was asked if she’d like to portray Sridevi. Pooja responded, “I already danced to her song, Elluvachi Godaramma, and I’d love to act in her biopic.”
She also expressed interest in doing biopics in general, saying she’s intrigued by stories of unsung heroes rather than just well-known personalities. Additionally, she mentioned her interest in acting in sports dramas.
Although she hasn’t signed any Telugu film recently, Pooja confirmed she is soon taking up a romantic project. She plans to announce it officially at the right time and has high hopes for its success.
Finally, she thanked her Telugu fans, saying, “When audiences buy tickets to watch me on screen, it’s the biggest compliment. I’m always thankful to them. Telugu people will always stay close to my heart.”
