Mani Ratnam’s signature touch ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ title font is here

Everything about a Mani Ratnam film oozes class and over the years the hype for his films started with the unique title font he chooses.  In that tradition, the master has taken the title font of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ to the next level with its arresting style of a sword with two mammoth’s gnawing at its hand that conveys the historical significance of the subject as well as attracts the new-gen also.   The caption “Beginning of the Golden Era” also foreshadows a big leap for Tamil cinema.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions has one of the biggest acting talents of Indian cinema coming together including Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rahman, Sarathkumar and Prabhu.  Music is by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Ravi Varman, production design by Thotta Tharani and editing by A. Sreekhar Prasad.
