Kamal Haasan lodges police complaint against Pollachi Rape Accused

As the Pollachi gang rape case is raging on in Tamil Nadu there is widespread anger amongst the people who want the accused Thirunavukkarasu, Sabarirajan, Satheesh and Vasanthakumar to be brought to justice swiftly.  Though the four are in police custody booked under the goondas act there is also the doubt that they could use loopholes in the law to escape as no other women have come forward to complain against them.  The involvement of high-level politicians and rich people from the Coimbatore zone is also suspected.

The Makkal Neethi Maiam President Kamal Haasan today lodged a complaint at the DGP’s office in Chennai urging to take immediate action against the Pollachi gangrape accused.  The good thing about this complaint is that it comes from a party leader and a national level celebrity which will surely prompt an action.  Looks like the torchlight is beginning to burn for this serious issue.
