Superstar Rajinikanth’s residence on Thursday is reported to have received a phone call from an unidentified person, who warned that there would be a bomb attack on the legendary actor’s house.
As per local Tamil news channels, the police were pressed in immediately to conduct a search operation of Rajini’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai. Sniffer dogs have been deployed for the purpose. Bomb detectors have also been spotted, reports say.
Scores of anxious fans are reported to have gathered at the house.
Going by most accounts, the call was a hoax. It was the work of an anonymous person who tried to create is mischief.
