Days after he was externed from Hyderabad, Kathi Mahesh today tried to hold a press briefing in his hometown Pileru in Chittoor district. However, the local police, who must have been tracking his movements, prevented him from holding a press meet.
After his controversial remarks about Sri Rama, Kathi Mahesh was recently banished from Hyderabad by the Telangana police, who submitted him to the Andhra Pradesh police. Since Chittoor police felt that he can’t be provided security, he was asked to leave the state temporarily. Kathi then went to Kerala.
He has once again been sent to Bengaluru.
In a recent interview to a portal, the film critic said that his livelihood has been affected by the banishment. ”Since I am a film reviewer, I can’t make money when I am out of Hyderabad,” he said.
