Radha Rajan, is a well known Animal activist in Tamil Nadu as she has appeared in Tamil as well as English News channels defending the Supreme Court Ban on Jallikattu. Hence it is commonly understood that she is a member of People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Last week, Radha Rajan was in for severe criticism for her highly atrocious comments linking the people protest for Jallikattu comparing it with "free sex campaigns". .
Now Poorva Joshipura the CEO of PETA India in her email communication to IndiaGlitz has clarified "Radha Raja is neither a PETA India member or a staffer."
In the same email Joshipura has also rubbished the allegations that PETA has been responsible for killing animals such as dogs in US.
"Much of the "PETA Kills" misinformation floating around on the internet, however, originates from a front group made up of industries and companies PETA US campaigns against for their cruelty to and slaughter of animals for profit. This is why they are so interested in discrediting PETA US. '
She also stated that PETA US and PETA India are different organisations and circumstances in two countries are different.
