After a long hiatus since September 2023, Pawan Kalyan is all set to return to the sets of his highly anticipated film Ustaad Bhagat Singh on June 12. Contrary to earlier reports that suggested the film was a loose remake of Tamil blockbuster Theri, the makers have now officially confirmed that the remake plan has been dropped. The film will proceed with a completely original script, personally approved by Pawan Kalyan.
This creative shift comes in the wake of director Harish Shankar’s recent outing Mr. Bachchan—a Telugu remake of Raid—which failed to make a strong mark at the box office. Learning from the experience, the team has restructured Ustaad Bhagat Singh to deliver a fresh, engaging narrative.
The upcoming shooting schedule is set to unfold at Koti Women’s College and an aluminum factory, where several important scenes will be filmed.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s other big project, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, has officially been postponed from its planned June 12 release. The team will announce a new release date soon.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, Ustaad Bhagat Singh remains one of the most eagerly awaited films in Pawan Kalyan’s lineup.
