Singer and actress Paravai Muniyamma had gained huge popularity after acting in Chiyaan Vikram's Dhool directed by Dharani, and she had sung the hit song Singam Pola Nadandhu Varaan, following which she had been signed to sing and act in many Tamil movies.

She went on to act in many movies like Kadhal Sadugudu, Sanda etc but however slowly she started losing offers, and she had been ill, following which former TN CM Jayalalitha had given 6 lakhs rupees as fixed deposit and monthly rupees 6000 on behalf of TN govt top her.

Last year itself she had made a request to TN govt to give the money to her physically challenged son if anything happens to her, and now yet again she has been admitted in hospital fighting for life, and has now again requested government to give the monthly 6000 rupees to her son after her death.
