‘Slum Dog’ Shoot Wrapped: Puri Jagannadh-Vijay Sethupathi Pan-India Thriller Nears Release

Dashing director Puri Jagannadh and versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi’s much-anticipated pan-India action thriller ‘Slum Dog’ has successfully completed its entire shoot. The film is currently in the post-production phase across all languages, with work progressing at a brisk pace. Carrying the intriguing tagline “33 Temple Road”, the project has already created strong buzz with its title and first-look poster.
The film features Samyuktha as the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, while Tabu and Duniya Vijay play pivotal roles. The supporting cast also includes Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh, adding depth to the narrative.
Marking a special milestone, Puri Jagannadh recently completed 26 years in the film industry since his directorial debut with Badri. On this occasion, Vijay Sethupathi took to social media to praise the filmmaker, calling his journey a legacy built on courage and conviction. He expressed that working with Puri was an absolute pleasure and highlighted how the director pushes actors beyond their comfort zones. He also shared his belief that Slum Dog will be remembered as a special film for everyone involved.

Produced jointly by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, in association with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla of JB Mohan Pictures, the film is mounted on a significant scale.
On the technical front, National Award-winning composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his impactful work in Arjun Reddy and Animal, is composing the music, promising an intense and gripping background score.
Slum Dog is gearing up for a grand pan-India release in five languages Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The makers are planning to begin promotional activities after the Tamil Nadu elections, setting the stage for a major nationwide rollout.
