Newage filmmakers are coming up with intriguing concepts for their films which have pushed the boundaries of Tamil cinema. 'Pancharaaksharam' is one such attempt directed by Balaji Vairamuthu and produced by Vairamuthu under the banner Paradox Films.

According to the team 'Pancharaaksharam' is India's first Psychological Supernatural Adventure Thriller movie. The story is about Aidhan (fire) a passionate musician, Sameera (air) an intellectual writer, Jeevika (water) a noble humanitarian, Dharna (earth) an aspiring racer and Dishyanth (sky) a spirited explorer. What happens when destiny put these people together and in a bizarre circumstance whatever they read from books of their choice starts happening in their lives bringing out the worst nightmares of their lives.

The cast of the film includes Santhosh Pratap, Gokul, Madhu Shalini, Sana Altaf, Ashwin Jerome, Seeman, Raja and Jeeva Ravi. Music is by Sundaramurthy KS, cinematography by Yuva and editing by Anand Geraldin, The team have shot some exciting action sequences including on a race track and hope to release 'Panchaaksharam' in early 2019.
