Oviya to the rescue of a producer in trouble

Madurai Selvam over the years has worked as the manager for comedy legends Goundamani and Senthil and recently branched into film production with 'Seeni' starring Oviya and debutante Sanjeev as the lead pair.  The film, directed by Raja Durai is planned for release on the 29th of September.

Selvan in a recent interview has stated that though he nursed ambitions of producing a film for several years Goundamani and Senthil had warned him of the risk and stopped him.  However, he decided to go ahead and booked his favorite heroine Oviya and also gave a chance to Raja Durai who had directed a Simran starrer 'I Love You Daa' twelve years ago.   According to Selvam the director started harassing him asking for more money even though he had paid him more than the agreed 5 lakhs rupees.  Now it seems Raja Durai is spreading rumors about the film quality to distributors and is also not cooperating with the release.

However to the great relief of Madurai Selvam, Oviya had called him over the phone and assured him that she will promote 'Seeni' aka 'Oviyava Vitta Yaaru'.  The film, in fact, has three other 'Bigg Boss' contestants on board  Ganja Karuppu, Vayapuri and Snehan apart from Oviya and the producer hopes he can cash in on the popularity of his heroine and the show.
