Ahead of the release of 'DevaDas' on Sept 27, the makers on Tuesday spoke to the press.  

Speaking on the occasion, producer Ashwini Dutt said, "Thanks to my favourite heroes Nagarjuna and Nani for all the support right from the beginning. Vyjayanthi Movies is proud to bring you all the comedy entertainer."  

Nagarjuna said, "Ashwini Dutt garu is just the same. He is very passionate about films and now he has support in the form of his daughters. Deva is an international mafia don. Instead of violence and mafia activities, more of don's personal life and friendship with Das is shown in the movie. How Deva and Das get influenced by each other and it is made in an entertaining way. There is a small message also in the movie but it won't be in a preachy way. The chemistry between me and Nani, is all director Sriram Aditya's magic. He handled the film quite and it is not easy to manage such a big cast and pressure. Cinematographer Shamdat is a big contributor and I would like to work with him again and again".

Hero Nani said, "Das is an innocent and honest doctor. There are no ups and downs in his life and it’s a smooth journey. Unexpectedly a don becomes his friend and how he reacts and how situations change from here form 'DevaDas'. Yes, I use phone a lot but whenever Nagarjuna sir is beside me, I rarely use it. But Rana, Rakul and many others have said, “I Agree” which is why the video went viral. Though there is little truth in it. It was a wonderful experience working with Nagarjuna sir. I mean I never expected this to happen. For me who watched his films standing in a queue at theatres and now sharing the screen with him is a huge thing".

Actress Rashmika said, "My character is simple like a girl next door in 'DevaDas'. There is a surprise element to my role as well. That will be thrilling on the screen".

Director Sriram Adittya said, "I never differentiate solo movies and multi-starrer. I enjoy doing both and it is obviously a joy to watch two superstars together. Me, Bhupathi Raja and Satyanand have worked on the script for four to five months. After owning the script, we went for the shoot".

Actress Aakanksha Singh said, "Nagarjuna sir helped me a lot during the scenes. I was juggling with the lines and then he gave a tip. Working with Nag sir is like a dream come true and I can't express in words".

FlyHigh Cinemas is releasing the movie in overseas.  Vyjayanthi Movies has tied up with Viacom 18 for this movie.
