Director Nag Ashwin, known for Yevade Subramanyam, Mahanati, and Kalki 2898 AD, recently interacted with the media as his debut film completes 10 years. Yevade Subramanyam is set for a re-release on March 21 to celebrate the milestone. During the interaction, he also shared updates about the much-anticipated sequel, Kalki 2.
Nag Ashwin revealed that they are eyeing the second half of 2025 for Kalki 2’s shoot. Addressing questions about the sequel’s focus, he confirmed that Kalki 2 will delve deeper into Prabhas’ characters, Bhairava and Karna. He assured fans that whenever the project officially kicks off, full-fledged updates will be provided.
On a different note, he dismissed any rumors of rivalry between Nani and Vijay Deverakonda, affirming that there is no unhealthy competition between them. Ashwin also expressed hope that Yevade Subramanyam’s re-release will introduce the film to a newer audience and expand its reach beyond its initial run.
Kalki 2 is a big hit at the box office and there are high expectations on the film’s second part.
