‘Mr. Majnu’ Teaser: Touching the right chord

In ‘Mr. Majnu’, Akhil Akkineni plays a cowboy.  Vidyullekha Raman is reduced to dubbing him as a crazy character.  The much-stalked, much-peeved heroine (Niddhi Agerwal) says that he is actually a dangerous one.

Director Venky Atluri returns with visuals that explore wide roads, expansive backdrops and modern cities (shot in London).  The ‘Tholi Prema’ guy is definitely presenting Akhil as a no-holds-barred ‘Manmathudu’ who believes that flings bust your stress.

The rom-com track may well throw up familiar cliches but hope that the dialogues, characterization and technical departments (George C Williams is the cinematographer) will see it through.  Akhil is dancing as much as he can and definitely more than what he did in ‘Hello!’.  SS Thaman’s songs are another bright hope.

Naga Babu, Priyadarshi, Jayaprakash, and Hyper Adhi are part of the cast.  Naveen Nooli is the editor.  Avinash Kolla is the art director.  Choreography is by Sekhar.  Additional story and chief associate direction are by Satish Chandra.

Producer BVSN Prasad is looking at a January 25th release right now.
