36-year-old actor Brahma Mishra, best known for his role as Lalit in the critically acclaimed web series ‘Mirzapur,’ was found dead at his house in Mumbai’s Versova on Thursday, as per the police. The late actor’s body has been sent to Cooper Hospital in Juhu for an autopsy.
The actor reportedly died of a cardiac arrest and was found in his bathroom by the Mumbai police. His neighbours had apparently alerted the police after a foul smell began emanating from the actor’s house three days after his death. Brahma Mishra’s Mirzapur co-stars Ali Fazal, Vijay Varma and Divyenndu Sharma condoled his death on their respective social media pages. According to reports, the late actor had earlier complained of chest pain to a doctor on November 29, for which he received medication.
Bramha Mishra had also recently featured in the film Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. Mirzapur’s streaming platform Amazon Prime Video wrote in a tweet, “Brahma Mishra, our Lalit. Thank you for making us laugh, thank you for making us cry. Thank you for always reminding us the loyalty & love a friendship holds. Always in our heart. RIP, brahma mishra.”
