Mirchi Shiva & Yogi Babu duo in ‘Kasethan Kadavulada’ gets a new release date!

Mirchi Shiva, Yogi Babu and Karunakaran, the hilarious combo, are all set to entertain us with the upcoming fun film ‘Kasethan Kadavulada’. This heist comedy movie is a remake of the 1972 classic comedy film of the same name. R Kannan (Jayamkondaan and Ivan Thanthiran fame) has directed the remake.

After facing multiple delays since last year, Kasethan Kadavulada is now slated to hit the screens on 12 May 2023. The makers announced the new release date last night with a new poster and wrote on social media, “With this summer vacation celebration, get ready for the biggest laughter riot. #KasethanKadavulada releasing worldwide on May 12th” (sic).

The film also stars Priya Anand, with Urvashi, Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Pugazh, Thalaivasal Vijay and Manobala in supporting roles. The story revolves around a man collaborating with two men to steal money from his stepmother. Yogi Babu, Mirchi Siva, Priya Anand and Karunakaran are reprising the roles of Thengai Srinivasan, Ravichandran, Lakshmi and Srikanth respectively from the 1972 movie.

N Kannan is scoring music for the movie and Prasanna Kumar is handling cinematography with editing by Leo John Paul & Naan Surya. Kasethan Kadavulada is produced by director R Kannan’s production house Masala Pix in association with MKRP Productions.
