‘Mercury’ opening weekend collection in Chennai

Karthik Subbaraj’s silent thriller ‘Mercury’ was the first film to hit the theatres post the strike of Tamil film producers. Audiences were enthusiastic about catching the movie on the big screens. How did the film fare in terms of box office collections?

As of last weekend, the film was screened at 19 theatres with 229 shows in Chennai city alone. The film has reaped in Rs. 1,05,83,822 recording a crowd presence of 85%. Prabhu Deva stars in the leading role of this film and it is considered to be a good opening for the actor.

In addition to this, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ managed to rake in Rs. 81,12,246 with 205 shows in 16 theatres in Chennai city alone.Follow Indiaglitz for the latest box office updates.
