The red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes saw a bittersweet reunion for the cast of "Suits," with familiar faces like Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres taking the stage to present an award. However, one member of the team was noticeably absent: Meghan Markle.
While Markle was invited to join the reunion, she had a prior commitment that prevented her from attending, according to Entertainment Tonight. Her former co-stars, however, were thrilled to be back together.
"It's so nice to see old friends again," Rafferty, who played Donna Paulsen, told ET before the ceremony. Macht, who portrayed Harvey Spector, shared the sentiment: "It's exciting... I'll see some of my cast members and friends from different projects."
The recent surge in popularity of "Suits" on Netflix didn't surprise Macht. "The show resonates with people," he explained. "They like relatable characters navigating life's challenges, and it's found a new generation on Netflix."
Despite their busy schedules, the cast keeps in touch through a group text chain. However, Patrick J. Adams, who played Michael Ross, revealed one member who's notoriously slow to respond: "Mostly, I'm just trying to get Gabriel to react," Adams said with a laugh. "He's slow on the text and keeps changing numbers! We're just trying to find out which one works."
While Meghan Markle couldn't be there in person, her spirit undoubtedly filled the room as the "Suits" family celebrated their enduring legacy and the show's newfound popularity with a younger generation.
