Chennai, October 21, 2026: JioHotstar has unveiled the trailer of Love Always, an upcoming Tamil fantasy-comedy series directed by Madhumitha, set to premiere on October 30. Bringing together magic, humour and the complexities of relationships, the eight-episode limited series promises a quirky take on age reversal, driven by unexpected situations and entertaining character dynamics.
Adding a special touch to the trailer is the AI-recreated voice of legendary Tamil comedy writer and actor Crazy Mohan. Narrating the story through a magical medallion, the voice serves as a heartfelt tribute to one of Tamil cinema’s most celebrated comedy writers, whose distinctive humour, clever wordplay and memorable characters continue to delight audiences across generations.
Drawing inspiration from Crazy Mohan’s signature style of comedy, Love Always brings his trademark wit and situational humour into a contemporary fantasy setting. The trailer offers a glimpse into the show’s fun-filled world, where Maya and Gauri are constantly at loggerheads with Ramsan, setting off a series of entertaining confrontations, misunderstandings and comic chaos. With eccentric characters and humour arising from everyday situations, the series promises a light-hearted viewing experience rooted in the timeless appeal of clever comedy.
The series features a talented ensemble cast led by Gouri G. Kishan, Ramzan Muhammed, Jayaprakash, Jayasudha and Maya Krishnan, who bring alive the show’s blend of youthful energy, family dynamics, romance and emotional depth. The additional cast includes Palli Pradeep Kumar Reddy, Mythili Sathyajith, Dimple Kanna K, Aadhvik Ravichandran, Suraj Seetharaman, Smruthi Mohankumar, Sadasivam Suryanarayan and Ramaswamy Murugiah.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the series and the tribute to Crazy Mohan, director Madhumitha said, “Crazy Mohan sir’s writing has always been special to me. His ability to find humour in the simplest situations—through razor-sharp wordplay and wonderfully unpredictable characters—has been a masterclass in itself. I had the good fortune of working with him on Kola Kolaya Mundhirika, and what a Comedy 101 lesson that was. Every scene felt like a reminder that laughter doesn’t need to be loud to be brilliant; it just needs to be clever, surprising, and completely in love with its characters.
There is still no comedy writer like him—and I suspect there never will be. With Love Always, Sabari and I wanted to try and bring that flavour of comedy into a contemporary fantasy world, adapting and treating the series with his style of humour in mind. Using an AI recreation of his voice for the magical medallion was our way of paying a heartfelt tribute to a legend whose comedy continues to bring joy to generations—and who, I’m sure, would have found something gloriously funny about a medallion doing all the talking.”
Behind the series is a creative team comprising writers Sabarivasan Shamugan and Fazal Nawab, cinematographer Meyyendiran, editor Radha Sridhar, costume designers Priya Harie and Priya Karan, music director Girish Gopalkrishnan, and art director Sekar Balu.
With its blend of fantasy, humour and relationship-driven storytelling, Love Always brings a fresh setting to a comedy style that has remained beloved across generations. The series is set to premiere on October 30, with all eight episodes dropping together, exclusively on JioHotstar.
