Mayilsamy, one of the most loved comedy actors of Tamil cinema, passed away suddenly this morning due to a cardiac arrest. Several celebrities including Karthi, Nasser, Jayaram, Pandiarajan, Radha Ravi, Senthil and others paid homage to the mortal remains kept in his Virugambakkam residence. Kamal Haasan and Chiyaan Vikram were among those who paid rich tributes on social media.

Meanwhile a video of Mayilsamy dubbing for his last movie 'Glassmates' has gone viral on the internet. The lines that he spoke in Tamil roughly translates to " Buddy, listen to what I am saying, I have told my sister and everything will be taken care of by her...Always remember if you have not betrayed anyone in your heart, if you are on the right path, you will win, don't listen to what others tell you."

Mayilsamy who has entertained audiences for three decades as a mimicry artiste, film actor, television host and dubbing artiste last appeared in the web series 'Udanpaal' costarring Linga, Vivek Prasanna, S. Gayathrie, Abarnathi and Charle.
