‘Master’, which hit the screens on January 13, received flak from film critics right from the first day. And it’s not like it opened to a positive public talk either. The ‘mouth talk’ has not been going in the favour of the Vijay-Vijay Sethupathi starrer.
Yet, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has defied all the negativity. As per box-office reports, the action-drama has turned out to be the biggest earner in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana among Vijay’s movies till date. This despite the fact that Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’ and Ram Pothineni’s ‘RED’ have continued to do well or decently even after its release.
“All the parties involved have earned well from ‘Master’. The film is doing decently at the BO even on weekdays, especially in Andhra Pradesh,” Andhra BO, the tracker, reveals.
Produced by Mahesh S Koneru of East Coast Productions (for the Telugu version), the film has music by Anirudh. At a recent success meet, the producer exuded confidence that he will get to present one more Thalapathy movie in the future.
