'Ponniyin Selvan' is legendary director Mani Ratnam's dream project and the cinematic adaptation of the renowned author Kalki's epic Tamil novel of the same name. 'PS1' is set to storm the silver screens worldwide on September 30 and the promotional works have already begun.

The makers are introducing a 'Ponniyin Selvan' character with a new poster every day. Meanwhile, recent media speculations claim that the 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' teaser is most likely to be released on Friday. As per the latest reports, the movie team has planned a grand teaser launch event in Chennai on July 8.

Also, sources say that the film's actors will dress up as the characters they play in the movie for the function. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard yet. 'Ponniyin Selvan' story is centred on the conspiracy surrounding the Chola dynasty throne set 1000 years ago. AR Rahman scores the music while Ravi Varman handles the camera.
