Mani Ratnam in one of the rarest of interactions with fans has given official updates about his dream project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and also regarding his next movie after that. Live on Suhasini Mani Ratnam’s Instagram page, the director of classics confirmed that the adaptation of Kalki’s novel of the same name will release in two parts. As a bonus Mani also let out that he has started penning the script for his next movie after that and the coronavirus lockdown could give him the much needed time to complete it as well.
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has music by A.R. Rahman and the screenplay is by Mani Ratnam and Kumaravelu with Jayamohan writing the dialogues. The ensemble cast includes Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Rahman, Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.
