Famous Telugu playback singer Mangli gained popularity by releasing many independent music albums before making her mark in the Telugu film industry. Recently, she celebrated her birthday on Tuesday with a grand party held at a luxurious farmhouse in Yerlapalli, near Hyderabad, hosted for her close friends and family.
Around 50 people attended the party, which reportedly continued late into the night. Local residents, disturbed by the noise, alerted the police. At around 3 a.m., authorities arrived at the venue to investigate.
During the inspection, police discovered the use of foreign liquor and ganja (marijuana) at the event. Blood tests were conducted on all attendees, and it was found that several including Mangli had consumed ganja.
The Ranga Reddy police have registered a case and are continuing the investigation into the incident.
