The last human being alive: Video of man saying he has woken up in 2027 goes viral

A man from Spain’s Valencia has claimed to be a time traveller from 2027 and shared footage on his TikTok handle showing human extinction. The prank attempts to humorously take a dig at the eerie inactivity around the world that followed the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Sharing the deserted roads of the town on his TikTok account, the user @unicosobreviviente describes how he ‘woke up in hospital’ and is now somehow the only sentient being left on the face of the Earth. Alongside the video, the man wrote, “I woke up alone in a hospital in Valencia (Spain). I couldn’t remember my name or where I lived. I decided to go outside and there were no people. Everything was like in 2021, but the electronic devices showed 2027. I discovered that there was a connection between 2021 and 2027. People in 2021 could see the objects I left in the city, but people couldn’t see me and I couldn’t see them. And a few days ago I found a letter telling me that I am the JESP8827 experiment, I come from 2027 and I am now in a parallel world in 2021 without people or animals.”

The footage shows the man walking inside shops, art galleries, stadiums and around rounds with not a single person in sight. While some users took the man seriously and demanded proof from him, several people retorted with sarcastic remarks. “Go to a public place (hospital, airport, shopping centre, museum) and break the biggest window you see. If you are really alone you can’t get into trouble,” a comment read.
