Speaking at the pre-release event of ‘Maharshi’, Mahesh Babu mentioned the names of certain directors (read Raghavendra Rao, Krishna Vamsi, Gunasekhar, Trivikram Srinivas, Srinu Vaitla, and Koratala Siva) who have built his career. Curiously, he didn’t mention ‘Pokiri’, the film which made him a mass actor at several levels. Standing corrected, the superstar took to Twitter later to give Puri Jagannadh a special mention.
“Missed mentioning an important person in my speech today. In my 25 films journey, it was ‘Pokiri’ that made me a Superstar. Thank you so much Puri Jagannadh!!! Thanks for giving me Pokiri, a film that will always be remembered,” the handsome actor said.
Acknowledging the mention, Puri said that he always loves Mahesh. “And the trailer of ‘Maharshi’ is rocking,” he added.
