“He and my children joined hands and killed me,” NT Rama Rao is quoted as saying right at the beginning of the ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ trailer. Where “He” stands for Chandrababu Naidu. Ram Gopal Varma being RGV, this much was expected.
The second trailer for the political thriller shows NTR as a people’s man. When he loses power, though, he turns morose. The emotional and physical distance between him and his family members worsens the situation for NTR. Enter Lakshmi Parvathi, whose emotional attachment to NTR becomes a headache for the Nandamuris and some TDP stalwarts.
As Naidu (played by actor Sriteja) takes the oath as the CM, RGV makes sure ‘Vennu potu’ plays in the background.
Yagnya Shetty (as Lakshmi Parvathi) comes across as a pure-intentioned damsel in distress. P Vijay Kumar (as NTR) apes NTR.
Produced by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri, the film has music by Kalyan Koduri. RGV has co-directed it with Agasthya Manju. It could be a March 22nd release.
