After receiving high praise for the recently released ‘Naachiyaar’ directed by Bala, Jyothika has signed on to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of ‘Tumhari Sulu’ that had Vidya Balan playing a housewife turned radio jockey. The film reportedly titled ‘Ungal Jo’ is directed by Radha Mohan and produced by G. Dhananjayan.
It has been officially confirmed that popular Telugu heroine and producer, Lakshmi Manchu has signed on to play a pivotal role enacted by Neha Dupia in the original. Lakshmi is the daughter of Telugu superstar Mohan Babu who also did many movies in Tamil during the late seventies and eighties. The film is planned as a quickie and will hit the screens in a few months time.
