Kuyili’s Bold Stance Against Alcohol in New Film

‘Kuyili’ is an upcoming Tamil film directed by debutant P. Murugasamy, featuring Lissy Antony in the lead role. The film also stars Ravi Sha, Dashmika, Deepti, Pudhupettai Saravanan, and Ratsasan Saravanan in important roles. Cinematography is by Praveen Raj, and music is composed by Ju Smith. The movie is produced by V. Arun Kumar under the banner PM Film International.

Speaking about the movie, director P. Murugasamy shared, “After working with director Balaji Sakthivel, I am making my debut with this film. The story revolves around a mother’s fight against alcohol addiction and the struggles she faces. The plot follows a woman caught between an alcoholic father and husband, and how she is determined to raise her son differently. She takes a bold decision to ensure women like her don’t suffer due to alcohol. The story is inspired by a real incident that took place near Coimbatore.

Lissy Antony has delivered a remarkable performance in this realistic and emotionally engaging film. The movie aims to connect with the audience on a deep, relatable level. ‘Kuyili’ is slated for release next month.”
