KTR, two other Ministers eat chicken to counter Corona myths

There have been unfounded myths linking Coronavirus and chicken/eggs.  With social media apps like WhatsApp and Facebook amplifying the rumour, the poultry industry has taken a hit.

In order to counter the myth, certain organizations of the poultry industry on Friday organized a mela on Hyderabad’s Necklace Road.  Present at the mela were Ministers KT Rama Rao, Etela Rajender, and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who collectively made it a point to publicly eat chicken to tell everyone that chicken is totally harmless.

National Egg Coordination Committee, Telangana Poultry Breeders Association and Telangana Poultry Federation said that millions are scared of consuming chicken and egg, affecting chicken consumption by 30 per cent.
