Kavin, who has solidified his place as a bankable star in Tamil cinema with recent hits like “Dada” and “Star,” is gearing up for an exciting slate of projects. Among them is the comedy entertainer “Bloody Beggar,” which marks director Nelson’s first production venture under Filament Pictures. Today, the team announced that “Bloody Beggar” is set to release in theaters on Diwali 2024.
The announcement, accompanied by an intriguing poster, has already generated significant buzz on social media. “Bloody Beggar” will face stiff competition at the box office, going head-to-head with Sivakarthikeyan’s “Amaran” and Jayam Ravi’s “Brother” during the festive season. The film marks the directorial debut of Nelson’s assistant, Sivabalan Muthukumar, adding to the anticipation.
The movie features a cast led by Kavin, with Redin Kingsley and others in supporting roles. The shooting for “Bloody Beggar” has already been completed, and the technical crew includes Jen Martin as the music director, Sujith Sarang as the director of photography, and R. Nirmal as the editor. Kavin also has three other films in the pipeline: “Kiss,” “Mask,” and an untitled project with Nayanthara.
