Actress Kasthuri, who had been one of the prominent actresses of the early 90s, and had acted alongside top heroes like Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth etc,has been a very active person on Twitter, and regularly posts her opinions on various issues, and takes a dig on politics every now and then.

After recently hitting news for the selfie act on stage involving actor Karthi, that evoked mixed reactions from Twitterati, the actress has yet again been subjected to trolls, for her latest tweet on IPL. She had tweeted that with the IPL 12th edition beginning today, the well-wishers of Tamils are missing, maybe since Cauvery water is overflowing in Tamil Nadu, none objects Karnataka's Bengaluru team and TN's Chennai team playing now.

A random user had responded that it means that, as the real field (election) is around the corner, this unnecessary focus on the cricket field is unnecessary, and questioned "why are social activists like you who provoke people absent on the real field and aren't seen anywhere except social media or debates?". There were many others who followed suit, and started trolling the tweet.
