Kangana Ranaut has on Saturday lashed out at Twitter for suspending her sister Rangoli Chandel’s account earlier this week. For starters, here is the tweet that resulted in the suspension of the account.
“A Jamaati died of COVID-19. When police and doctor went to check their families (in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad), they were attacked and killed. Make this mullas + secular media stand in line and shoot them dead,” Rangoli tweeted out.
She was accused by several Twitter users of calling for a genocide against Muslims.
In her video message on Saturday, Kangana said that her sister had called for the killing only of those who attacked doctors and policemen, not all Muslims.
She then alleged that those who call Modi a terrorist and the RSS a terrorist organization are excused but calling terrorists terrorists is muzzled.
As a solution, said the Bollywood actress, India should develop a desi version of Twitter so that nationalist voices can be safeguarded.
