BS Yeddyurappa has resigned from his Chief Minister of Karnataka without facing a trust vote in the assembly. His resignation comes after several allegations from Congress that he tried to buy out MLAs by giving them posts and crores of money for adherence.
Kamal Haasan of Makkal Needhi Maiam took to Twitter to express his sentiments about the outcome. He expressed hope that the democratic light that has originated out of Karnataka must spread all over India. “Long live democracy,” he added.
