Jayam Ravi paired with Priya Bhavani Shankar for the action thriller Agilan, directed by N Kalyana Krishnan of 'Bhooloham' fame. Produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the film kickstarted in September 2021 and the entire shoot is wrapped up in May 2022.

We earlier reported to you that the team is planning to release the movie on September 15 but now, it is being reported that the film's release is pushed to the end of the year. Sources say that Agilan is most likely to hit the screens worldwide on November 11. The official announcement regarding the release date from the movie makers is yet to be made.

Agilan features Jayam Ravi as a gangster and Priya Bhavani Shankar as a cop. Touted to be a gangster movie, the film will explore the underworld of smugglers operating around the North Madras seaport. It stars Tanya Ravichandran, Harish Uthaman, Hareesh Peradi and Thamizh in pivotal roles. Sam CS is taking care of the musical score.

On the work front, Jayam Ravi is portraying the titular role in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Also, the star has a film tentatively called Iraivan with director Ahmed with whom he also has the long pending Jana Gana Mana and an untitled project with director Rajesh.
