NTR, who is currently in Japan promoting his upcoming film Devara, was pleasantly surprised when a Japanese fan spoke to him fluently in Telugu. While signing autographs in Tokyo, a young woman revealed that she had learned the language after being inspired by his performance in RRR.
Moved by the gesture, NTR called her an inspiration and shared the touching moment on social media. He wrote on X.com, “My visits to Japan always create beautiful memories, but this moment was different. Hearing a Japanese fan say she learned Telugu after watching RRR was truly moving.
“As a lover of cinema and languages, witnessing how films can bridge cultures and inspire people to learn new languages is something I’ll never forget. This is yet another reason to celebrate Indian Cinema as it continues to reach new audiences worldwide.”
The Japanese-dubbed version of Devara is set to hit theaters on March 28, 2025.
