The upcoming film “Janayagam,” starring Thalapathy Vijay, directed by H. Vinoth, and featuring music by Anirudh, is one of the most anticipated projects in Tamil cinema. Since this marks the final film of Vijay’s acting career, every announcement regarding the movie is being celebrated by fans like a festival. In this light, the production team has planned to hold the film’s audio launch ceremony in Malaysia.

While the Malaysian government has granted permission for the event, it has imposed several critical restrictions, keeping the current political climate of Tamil Nadu in mind.Due to the expectation of a massive gathering of Malaysian Tamils and Vijay fans, the following conditions have been set to maintain law, order, and national peace:

The event must be treated solely as an entertainment and cinema-related program. Speakers on stage are strictly prohibited from discussing politics under any circumstances.Fans are not allowed to carry flags of the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), wear T-shirts featuring the party symbol, or bring any party-related accessories (like shawls/towels).

Political slogans must not be raised inside the venue. The event must proceed strictly as a cultural program. The authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against violators according to Malaysian law. Furthermore, the government has cautioned that the event may be stopped midway if these conditions are breached.

As Thalapathy Vijay has transitioned into full-time politics, his recent film events have increasingly resembled political conferences. It is reported that the Malaysian government has taken these precautionary measures to prevent foreign political interference or political conflicts on Malaysian soil.

The Malaysian government’s announcement has triggered mixed emotions among Vijay fans. Many have taken to social media, stating, “We are happy just to see our leader, but it is a bit saddening to have restrictions on expressing our emotions.” Despite these regulations, the film’s crew is determined to conduct the event grandly while adhering to all guidelines.
