Director Prashanth Neel recently opened up about N. T. Rama Rao Jr.’s extraordinary dedication towards “Dragon,” revealing how the actor underwent a massive physical transformation for the role.

Speaking about the film, Neel shared that nearly a year and a half ago, the team had conducted a look test before beginning production. According to him, he had only suggested that NTR appear slightly leaner for the character. However, the actor reportedly pushed himself far beyond expectations.

“Once NTR gets convinced about something, there is absolutely no stopping him. I only suggested that he become a little leaner for ‘Dragon,’ but he went beyond imagination and lost nearly 15 to 16 kilos for the role. He wanted to look exactly the way I envisioned the character,” Prashanth Neel revealed.

The filmmaker further praised NTR’s discipline and determination, saying, “That kind of dedication, madness, and stubborn commitment is something I have honestly never seen in anybody else.”
