The wait is finally over. The much-hyped glimpse of “Dragon,” starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and directed by Prashanth Neel, has been unleashed, and it is nothing short of an explosive cinematic ride packed with violence, power, and mass elevation moments.
Released as a special treat for NTR’s birthday, the four-minute glimpse throws audiences straight into a dark world dominated by drugs and ruthless power struggles. Prashanth Neel once again relies on his trademark larger-than-life narration style, blending historical references with a gritty fictional universe.
The video opens with a narration about British colonization and the global opium trade. According to the film’s premise, while the British came to India for steel, spices, and cotton, it was opium that made them stay for centuries. After leaving India, the business is said to have been handed over to two powerful syndicates the Afghan Trading Company and the Golden Trading Company setting the stage for a brutal narcotics empire.

The glimpse gradually introduces the major players in this dangerous world, beginning with Rukmini Vasanth and several intimidating antagonist characters. However, the real eruption happens with the arrival of NTR as “Luger.”
NTR’s transformation is undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights of the glimpse. With a rugged appearance, sharp physique, and fierce body language, the actor looks completely immersed in the role of a deadly assassin. His intense screen presence and brutal action shots dominate every frame. A powerful dialogue about pulling the trigger and forgetting everything afterward further amplifies the menace surrounding his character.
The glimpse also packs several high-voltage action moments filled with bloodshed and destruction, staying completely in line with the cinematic style Prashanth Neel is known for.
Veteran actor Anil Kapoor makes a commanding appearance towards the end as Raghuveer Rathod, the chief of the Narcotics Bureau. His entry adds another layer of intrigue to the film’s conflict-driven narrative.
Technically, the glimpse scores heavily with its gritty visuals, atmospheric production design, and thunderous background score by Ravi Basrur. The visuals carry shades of K.G.F: Chapter 1 and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, but “Dragon” still succeeds in building curiosity around its own world and characters.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is slated for a worldwide release on June 11, 2027. Going by the glimpse response, “Dragon” has already emerged as one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent times.
