Silambarasan’s ‘Arasan’ getting ready for Diwali release

Tamil cinema’s ‘Manmagan’ Silambarasan TR (STR)’s highly anticipated film, ‘Arasan’, is eagerly awaited by fans. Rising amidst massive expectations, the movie is all set for a grand theatrical release this year on the festive occasion of Diwali. Written (and produced) by director Vetrimaaran, the anticipation for this film has been at an all-time high in Kollywood circles right from the day it was announced.

The first schedule of ‘Arasan’ was wrapped up at a brisk pace in and around Madurai. Reports suggest that mass action sequences featuring Simbu as a kabaddi player were filmed during this schedule.

Following that, the second schedule of the film is currently underway in full swing in Chennai. A massive police station set has been erected in Chennai specifically for shooting some crucial scenes.

Leading actress Priyanka Arul Mohan has teamed up with Silambarasan as the female lead in this film. Currently, important romantic and combination scenes involving Simbu and Priyanka Mohan are being actively shot in the Chennai schedule. Their fresh on-screen pairing has created immense curiosity among fans.

Along with Simbu and Priyanka Mohan, the film features leading comedian Yogi Babu, John Vijay, Teejay, and ‘Tourist Family’ fame Yoga Lakshmi in pivotal roles.

Trade circles suggest that ‘Arasan’ will be a perfect treat for fans who love quality storylines and high-octane action sequences. As the shoot nears its final stages, the team is planning to speed up post-production work to bring the film to theatres this Diwali.
