Post the release of 'Baahubali-2', at least two behemoths have been announced. If one of them, based on the epic Mahabharatha, is a Rs. 1000 Cr wonder starring Complete Actor Mohanlal as the hero, the other one is one based on the epic Ramayana, which is to cost Allu Aravind & Co something like Rs. 500 Cr. (Note: Both these films might have been mooted before 'Baahuali-2' released, but still, it's the scale and ambition of the franchise that really inspired them to dream big).
A third epic announcement is here.
It's coming from Sandalwood. One Muniratna, a producer-turned-politician from Karnataka, has announced a big-budgeted film titled 'Kurukshetra'. The film will be launched on July 23. He has been quoted saying that 'Bhaahubali' has shown him the way.
'Kurukshetra' will see Duryodhana as the central character, just as 'Mahabharatham' will see Bhima as the pivotal one.
