Rajini and Kamal extend hearty wishes to Ilayaraja

Legendary film composer, Isaigniani Ilayaraja was nominated to the Rajya Sabha as MP by the President of India Shri Raj Nath Kovind.  The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi tweeted “The creative genius of Iaiyaraaja Ji has enthralled people across generations. His works beautifully reflect many emotions. What is equally inspiring is his life journey- he rose from a humble background and achieved so much. Glad that he has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha.

Superstar Rajinikanth also took to Twitter and wrote in Tamil “My heartiest wishes to my dear friend Ilayaraja on his nomination as the Rajya Sabha MP.”  Kamal Haasan on the other hand wrote “There is no one to equal or exceed Ilayaraja and if he has to be honored for his musical contribution he should have been unanimously bestowed the post of the President of India.  Despite that we should welcome the MP nomination too.”

Both Rajini and Kamal have had a long association with Ilayaraja who has churned out hundreds of hit songs for their films that have been the major highlights.    Thousands of Indian film industry celebrities and fans have wished the Maestro on all social media platforms.
